ICR August 2019 Issue
International Cement Review advertisers will benefit from comprehensive exposure to Latin American markets at the forthcoming XXXVI FICEM Technical Congress Cement Conference and Exhibition in the Dominican Republic, on 2-4 September 2019. To celebrate this event, ICR August features a report from Brazil’s cement association, SNIC, on the “Cement Technology Roadmap – Brazil”, which aims to mitigate cement industry emissions by 35 per cent by 2050.
To coincide with this event, ICR will be presenting two interviews: Guy Sidos, president of Vicat, will be sharing his thoughts about the multinational’s expansion into new markets, while Marcelo Castelli, Global CEO of Votorantim Cimentos, details the company’s strategic goals at home and abroad. The Latin American theme continues in Colombia with a review of Ultracem’s local grinding project and Cemex’s C02Cero® carbon-neutral road transport.
Meanwhile, Argos’ Central American capex project at the Choloma cement plant in Honduras will see its local cement capacity increased by 0.44Mta. Furthermore, plant reports from Bolivia include features on Fancesa’s new 2100tpd production line at Sucre and ECEBOL’s greenfield project at Oruro.
As is our yearly tradition, the August issue also highlights the annual corporate reports of the top six cement multinationals.
Finally, BMA Capital investigates Pakistan’s fast-growing cement industry.
